4.2. Start the Aptus installer from CD-ROM

You have to run the Aptus installer to install Aptus.

4.2.1. Starting from console

You need to login as root user to install Aptus. If you are installing via CD-ROM, you have to mount the CD-ROM drive, for example, insert the disk and type

mount /mnt/cdrom
cd /mnt/cdrom
The Aptus installer should be just located in the root directory of the CD-ROM, run the installer by typing "./installer.sh" from there. If the installer has started successfully, simply follow the instructions and steps provided by the installer to complete the installation.

4.2.2. Starting with auto-run

If you have logged in as root in a GUI environment (e.g. Gnome, KDE) with auto-run enabled. Answer Yes when prompt to execute Auto-run upon CD-ROM insertion. This will immediately start the Aptus installer. If the installer has started successfully, simply follow the instructions and steps provided by the installer to complete the installation.
