CogoFS (Cogo File System) is a stackabled compressed filesystem that provide on-the-fly transparent comprssion and decompression on top of existing mounted file systems. You can view CogoFS like a transparent compression and decompression filter.

Please contact ShaoLin Microsystems if you cannot find your OS in the above list, or please check for the latest packages available on the web site.
All stock vendor kernel which suitable for i586 or above listed in the supported distribution section will be supported.
To install ShaoLin Cogo File System 1.0, you should check your system's kernel version by using the command uname -r and your CPU type with uname -m. For example,
$ uname -r 2.4.9-34 $ uname -m i686 $
In this example, the kernel version is 2.4.9-34 and you should do this and pick the correct package for your system.
After you have select the Cogo File System kernel module package, you will also need the CogoFS Utilities package. Install the CogoFS packages by
$ rpm -ivh cogofs-2.4.9-31-1.0-7.i686.rpm cogoutils-1.0-3.i386.rpm
This will install both the Cogofs kernel module and cogoutils package. For detail documentation on CogoFS administration and operation, please refer to the CogoFS 1.0 How To document.
