8.6. Control an application service

If you have configured the AAC for a given service, you can control the application to start, stop, suspend, activate or reset using the Cluster Manager Console or web interface.

Disable

Disable the availability control of this application. Status check result of this application will be ignored. This is useful to do some scheduled maintenance of your application.

Enable

Reactivate the application availability control of the application.

Start

Start a stopped application service. Notice, after a successful start of an application, the application availability control of the service will remain disabled. You will have to call Enable to re-enable AAC on it.

Stop

Stop the application service. After stopping the application, the application service will be disabled automatically.

Restart

Restart the application service. Statistics will be reset automatically.

Reset the application statistics information
