4.2. ShaoLin HA Cluster software installation
To install ShaoLin HA Cluster software, you need the ShaoLin HA Cluster installation CD. You need to run the installation as
the root user. The installer will locate the suitable packages for your Linux distribution and install it into
your system. You have to make sure you have enough disk space to perform the installation. For more details on disk space
requirement, see Section 3.2. If you have purchased additional Service Monitoring
Agents packages, please refer to the documentation provided together with the Service Monitoring Agent. Please refer
to the online SMA web site for more details.
4.2.1. Starting the ShaoLin HA Cluster installer from console
Login as root. Insert the disk and type
mount /mnt/cdrom
cd /mnt/cdrom

The Aptus installer should be just located in the root directory of the CD-ROM, run the installer by typing
./installer.sh from there.
If the installer has started successfully, simply follow the instructions and steps provided by the installer
to complete the installation. Notice the location of the CD-ROM mount is different from various Linux distributions,
please refer to your Linux distribution manual for more details.
4.2.2. Starting with auto-run
If you have logged in as root in a GUI environment (e.g. Gnome, KDE) with auto-run enabled. Answer Yes
when prompt to execute Autorun upon CD-ROM insertion. This will immediately start the installer.
If the installer has started successfully, simply follow the instructions and steps provided by the installer to complete
the installation.
