11.1. Logging

To view the logs, open the ShaoLin HA Cluster Configurator, click on the View Log icon, then you will see two types of logs.

11.1.1. Event Log

The event log contains captured events on the standby cluster. The primary server will forward events information to the standby cluster. Upon failover, these information will be captured and will be flushed to the file /var/log/shaolin-ha/slhaboot.log. All failures will be treated as an event and will be logged. The event log is useful on debugging failure of a cluster and reason of the last failover. Each time when the system failover, the log files will be rotated.

11.1.2. System Log

System logs are log messages genereated by ShaoLin HA Cluster Manager through the syslog facility which store information in the file /var/log/messages. They are all run-time messages including important information and all events. This log is useful for debugging ShaoLin HA Cluster Configuration.
