ShaoLin HA Cluster requires at least the following disk space in each path to install and operate,
/boot 10MB
/ 5MB
/opt 10MB
/tmp 20MB
/var 20MB
A note on system partitioning, ShaoLin HA Cluster does not require you to allocate special partitions for operations. However, it is good to separate your application in a dedicated volume which avoid mixing with other system volumes such as /, /var etc.. In addition, this will allow you to upgrade your existing OS or reinstall you operating system without having to affect your production application data. To allow your clusters to be upgraded to a different or newer version of operating system while on-line, you will require to reserve an empty volume in your shared storage for the future operating system installation. The size of the volume depends on your actual disk space requirement of your operating system, experience shows a 6GB partition is enough for almost every type of Linux distribution installation.
