ShaoLin Administration System (SAS) is a graphical administration system fore remote network administration by using Java console graphical user interface. Server side installation has been included when you perform installation of SIC.

In order to execute ShaoLin Administration System Client (SASC), you will need to install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in your client. SASC requires JRE version 1.4 and above. You may change the SASC login password by using the "slaspasswd" in /opt/slas/bin.
1. The client is already included with the SIC installation, but you can download ShaoLin Administration System client from ShaoLin Microsystems website too.
2. If you would like to install the SASC rpm on client, you can use the rpm installer that you familiar with to perform installation
3. When SASC rpm installation is done, then you can access it from console.
1. You can use command line to access the SASC, the command is "slasc" and located at "/opt/slas/bin/"
2. You can point your browser to "http://[server where SIC is running]:8781" to download the SAS client. Or it can be loaded into a browser as an applet.
3. You will see the SLAS framework start with login dialog box popup. Please fill in the Hostname with SIC server hostname or IP address. Fill in the password you have been signed. By default, SASC will remember your password and using "port 5031" as default communication port. The web port access of SAS is at port 8781.
4. Click connect button a Progress dialog box with progress box will popup and loading the SIC user interface. This progress takes a few second depends on network traffic.
5. After the SIC user interface starts, you shall see the SIC icon shows in panel on the right hand side. You can click on the the SIC icon to expand the content about the cluster setting.
